"Smile, come on," you beckoned the dog to follow you.
He lifted his head up, looked at you, let out a sigh-like growl, and rolled over, his back to you. Smile did like you (usually), but he just didn't feel like getting up.
"Smile! Come on! Get up!" You crouched down and began to shake the dog.
Eventually, he growled once more and sat up.
"Good boy! Now come on, follow me," you scurried over to the stairs, still beckoning. "Come on," you whispered again. He stood up and marched over to you, following you up the stairs. You smiled and ran to your room. Standing in the doorway, you began motioning for him to follow you again, "Come on, come sleep on my bedroom floor," you patted the floor.
He began walking in your direction, but as he got to your room, he kept on walking and turned the corner, creeping straight into Jeff's room and collapsing on the floor, quickly falling asleep.
"Hah, rejected by the dog!" You heard Jeff snicker through the wall, quickly joined by many more snickers from around the house.
Glaring in the direction of Jeff's room, you flicked the light switch off and closed the door. Flopping down onto your bed, you closed your eyes and rolled onto your side, facing the wall.
Sadly for you, however, you soon heard the door creak open and felt a weight pressing down on you. You didn't even have to open your eyes to know who it was.
"What do you want, BEN?" You sighed.
"I can protect you if you want," he purred, before pulling himself under the blankets.
"Dude. Get out of my bed," you opened your eyes, with the intention to punch him, but he jumped out and fled from the room before you could. You scowled at the open doorway before grunting and rolling onto your side again.
"Night, _____," you heard a voice which you identified as Eyeless Jack's.
"Goodnight, Jack," you quietly responded as you heard him close you door and continue to walk down the hall to his own room.
Finally, there was peace. You quickly drifted off into a slumber.
Your eyes snapped open. It felt as if something was watching you.
Blinking a few times, your eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness and came to rest on a figure sitting at the end of your bed.
"Jeff...? What... What time is it?" You groaned, still half asleep, and glanced at your watch. It was 2am. You'd only been sleeping for an hour or two.
As you sat up, he seemed to shuffle closer a bit. You looked over at him and saw that he was sporting his trademark grin, as usual.
"What do you want?" You whispered, slightly concerned about what the answer may be.
He stood up and chuckled a bit before walking over to you and sitting right next to you. Snickering a bit, he replied, "BEN got into Slendy's liquor stash again."
"Oh for the love of-"
"Shhh," he hissed at you, frowning a bit.
"Oh, right, sorry," you whispered.
You quickly pull the sheets off of yourself and jump up, not bothering to change out of your grey boxers, white pyjama shirt and [f/c] hoodie. Jeff was clad in the same apparel; black boxers and his favourite bloodstained white hoodie. His hoodie was fully zipped up, so you couldn't tell if he was wearing a shirt or not.
Jeff ushers you out the door, "C'mon, before he wakes Slendy up,"
You grimace at the thought. Sure, BEN was as annoying as hell, but he was your friend and you didn't particularly want him to die.
"How do you even know?" You questioned Jeff.
"He walked past my room earlier, muttering something about the liquor stash, so I figured..." He shrugged.
"Why do you even care? I though you hated him?" You continued bombarding him with questions.
"Yeah, but Slender said that I'm in charge of keeping him under control, so if he gets caught, I'm just as screwed as he is."
"So why didn't you stop him when you saw him earlier? And why are you dragging me along with you?"
Jeff sighed, obviously getting annoyed, "I ran out the door to grab him, but he was already gone, and haven't you heard him when he was drunk ever before? The little imp would probably start screaming at me. He's always calm around you though, so you might be of use here."
"Wait, but why were you sitting at the end of my bed? Why didn't you just wake me up?"
"The last person who woke you up got thrown out the window," he sighed again, "I assumed it would be safer if I just waited."
Satisfied, you halted your interrogation.
After walking for a while, you came across the staircase and carefully walked up, taking one silent step at a time. The two of you walked straight ahead and towards Slenderman's room, which you have to walk past to get to the liquor stash. You and Jeff tiptoed past the doorway, before finally arriving at the door to the liquor room.
